I have met

The Queen (x3, Guard of Honour, Dinner, and a personal introduction) (not showing off, honest! :embarrassed:)
Richard of Gloucester
Prince Charles
Sir Jimmy Dell (TSR2 and E.E test pilot)
Martin Withers (Black Buck Vulcan raid)
Katherine Jenkins (the best voice I have heard for years)

My Dad has met Douglas Bader, Bob Stanford-Tuck, and almost passed out from the whiskey fumes when he was inspected by Bomber Harris in 1968.

My Dad has met Douglas Bader,

That's someone who I wish I had never met - a most obnoxious, unpleasant, so-far-up-his-own-jacksie, utterly horrible excuse for a human being I ever had the misfortune to meet.

Not sure if we've done this before......... did I ever tell you guys, I met J Arthur Rank?

No, not the film maker, one of the blokes that banged the bong - Ken Richmond.
I met him a few years ago, while in his 70's and his was still a most impressive man.
He was still bigger than anyone around us in both height and stature.

I had a brief chat with him, what a charming fellow and only too happy to tell me about the 'Gong' days.

   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Richmond

Other men who have played the Gongman include Carl Dane, Bombardier Billy Wells and Phil Nieman.

I once met a traffic warden when parked on a double yellow (my bad) for a quick trip into a local model shop to get some glue. He even gave me a nice ticket as a memento of our meeting!

As a (ex) session drummer I've had the opportunity to meet and have a couple of lemonades  :D  with some interesting people in some very odd places.

Nigel Havers
Colin Flooks (Cozy Powell),
Paul Carrack,
Ronnie Corbett,
Keith Richards,
The Foundations -2 versions,
Ronnie Wood,
Keith Floyd

The list goes on but my memory doesn't, back in the days when you thought you were indestructible - ha! - if only i'd known.

Nearly met Neil Morrissy (men behaving badly) once. He was on the down escalator as I was on the up escalator in Ikea!!

Nearly had lunch with Michael Parkinson, he was on the table next to us.

Went to school with Dave Myers (hairy biker) who now lives just up the road from me, last bumped into him in a supermarket, now that IS rock & roll !!!!

The Queen Mum (when I was about 11...)
Raymond Baxter
Warren Mitchell
Kenny Ball
Eartha Kitt

Various other faded 60's stars  I can't now remember (I used to do the theatre lights for the local council's summer season, back in the '80s, and they were plodding round the circuit)

I knew Nicki Chapman (ex Popstars judge & TV Presenter) when I was a teenager. I still see her dad a few times a year as he's usually manning the Surface Warship Association stand at various shows.

Hello

A lot of unknown people for me in your lists  :embarrassed: then if I give my list it will be the same for you with unknown french people.  In your British lists, I like Mark Knopfler and Diana Rigg   O0 ...

From my list maybe you know Muammar Gaddafi ... oups, yes that one ...  But also that one I'm the unknown on the left of the men in white and it's an official picture from the Vatican   :}

Anyway I do not agree with the idea of the both ... Why Diana Rigg was not a pax in my plane ?
