Who wants the Victory?
« on: February 29, 2012, 05:06:13 pm »

It appears that the latest MOD idea. Is to let a private company run the Victory, and or hire it out for private functions (partys). Its running costs of two million could be covered by this? Surely this historic boat should always be open to the public at all reasonible times. Smoking may occur, then no boat, possibly idea for the MOD . Anything left could be sold off as souveniers. Whats your thoughts Lads and Lasses?

as i understand although on paper victory IS  a serving warship , she is already being managed by a charitable trust !   in her current state i shouldnt have thought any independant body would wish to take control of her wellbeing , reports in our local press a few months ago claim she is falling apart from the inside outward !

Well Costa could change direction, buy Victory and have it as their main business focus and the cruise ships would be just something they have on the side?
