Bayonet systems...
« on: April 05, 2012, 02:05:34 pm »

I've never had much to do with hulls joined with these bayonet systems, just wondering if the gap between the front/rear halves is a bit too much on mine?

This is how it came when I bought it...not sure about this.

I've got a similar problem on my u47 at the join to the rear,. Some versions seem to have additional metal supports. The intructions said to make spacers from the I beam plastic but they keep collapsing so i can't get it to create a nice join properly. PANTS!

I cured mine by making spacers from styrene sheet...not perfect, but much, much better.
