Hi Slug, 'Mad Hatter' is indeed a Roger Stollery Design of the late 1906's. Saw your one on ebay last week, looked a nice boat  :-))

Slug
You have just got a good yacht
If you have different sail suits
Always sail one suit larger than
You think is best
Mine is the best thing I own
It is easily the fastest on our lake

Is it the yellow ome at Hartsolme

netleyned thank you for that orange hull white hatch white sails blue corner patches spare sety of sails have not checked them for size yet maybe not the fastest marblehead in the world but the old ones always looked so sleek as if they were built to go fast which of course they did in their day  tony

Don't know how old she is Slug.
I bought her off a club member who
got her off Ebay from someone in the
Midlands.
She has three sets of sails made by Squires Yachts and Sails
but googling gets me nowhere.
She is also fitted with a whirlwind winch which looks original
and at some time she has had a carbon fibre fin and rudder fitted.
I'd like to know more and thought someone on the forum might
recognise her.

 Hi Slug.
The other stollery M yacht is called "White rabbit".. I have the plans for "march hare" if you want a copy.  Owned one of these
myself back in the 70`s it was an all planked job back then and yes the fastest boat on the pond due to it being an elliptical design
hull no corners no drag.  Unfortunately some alcohol fueled vandals trashed the boat shed it was kept in, in the mid 80`s.

All that remains of it is the vane gear and some fittings and the varnished terylene sails.  May have some pix of it I could get
scanned and post if intrested.  Still got 1/2 of the old yachts left from that period hiding in the cupboard had planned to strip and
repaint one this year get it going again.

                                               cheers Frank
