Robbe power 600
« on: April 11, 2012, 10:23:17 AM »

Hi folks, does anyone out there know what  RPM the robbe power 600 motors put out on 7.2v
The only spec,s I can find only give dimensional and voltage details.

John

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but WHICH robbe 600s?  I am more familiar with the Graupner range and there are (were) about 15 of them, including the turbos.

I see that the ones I see on the interweb have a Power Speed 600/24 designation (AND a part number).  In this particular case the /24 is almost certainly the turns indicating that this is a soft high-torque motor.

At the very least the motor will probably (being robbe) carry a nominal voltage 6, 7.2, 9.6 or 12 and either a Turbo or Race (or Neo) word
Then you can look up the kV in the tables and that tells you directly what the nominal speed is for any applied voltage

This hasn't answered your question, I know.
And to make it worse here is another - why do you want to know the RPM?  Are you trying to match a particular prop, or achieve a particular pitch speed?

Tell us which motor, please and we will tell you the unloaded revs :}

John
I have had a wee keek at motocalc and there seem to be only 3 Robbe S600s

They have kVs of
Robbe Power 600 7.2V 19T #4472
 2500

 Robbe Power 600 8.4V 24T #4471
 1965

 Robbe Power 600 BB 7.2V 19T #4473
 3258

You remember (of course   :}) that kV is the revs per volt
So at 7.2V the 19T will turn at 7.2 x 2500 rpm = 18000rpm
the 24T at 14148
and the BB at 23457
and of course loaded speed should be about 80% of this :}

Hi Andrew, thanks for the speedy reply. The motors are the power 600/24, 8.4v or should I say were.
A friend had them on a Bremin 9 they burnt out on the lake Saturday.
So I am now trying to find replacements for him, or motors more upto the job.
He is running on a 12v system
Perhaps a Graupner motors would be a better alternative.

Hi Russ, yes they are for old Russes boat.
He let his neigbours 15 year old grandson have a go with the boat, as a favour.
He went tear-----g around and the motors cooked.
What are you asking for two turbo,s? and I will let Russ know.

PS I am going to post a couple of pictures you may likeRuss  under   Air Sea Rescue.
