Hatch seal
« on: April 13, 2012, 10:52:10 pm »

Hi.
Was wondering if any of you sailors can point me in the direction of a supplier for the black sticky stuff you get for sealing hatches on yachts. Don't know what it's called but I have some that needs replaced on my Marblehead. It seems to be lost its stick.....

Cheers

Try
http://www.sailsetc.com/sailmakingmaterials.htm
or http://www.pjsails.co.uk/
Various colours available.
Have heard that Fablon could be used, but that it might become brittle and split in cold weather.
Not something you would want to happen in a good blow......
