about to change my car soon, - for an estate,

the mondeo has one of the largest boots in that class of car, the mazda 6 estate is pretty close, the passat is good too - looked at a BCA car auction website recently.... the citroen c5 estate is a big car and boy they dont seem to hold their value.... ok if your a buyer !!!!

me i think  the mazda or the passat will be on my shopping list.....

the mondeo has one of the largest boots in that class of car,

Fords were big. The next size up from the Mondeo was the Granada/Scorpio, which stopped being made in 1998, with the last one sold in 2000. The estate was HUGE! Oddly, the last variant, the Scorpio, is on its way to becoming a classic car, and has quite an impressive club website. You could probably buy one from there for under £1000 - and they did a Cosworth 2.9L 24valve, which was quite brisk, by all accounts...

It also depends how much you want to spend on the car.
Or fixing it afterwards!!!!

Peugeot 806

Approx. up to 6ft x 4ft to the back of the front seats, height depending on how you fold or remove the middle and rear sets, but plenty variations available.

If you use the full passenger side, anything up to 10ft x 21ins, and still have seats for 3 or 4 people, or space for 'extras'.

With all the rear seats removed, it takes a fully assembled 1/6th scale Mersey Lifeboat with ease, and still has space for more.

This might seem silly , but what about strapping container with boat on the roof.
There is only limit weight, which could be helped with roller , while length is limited with length of the car.

I've got one of these now ...... http://youtu.be/sEsE-abmtT0    Tons of room, not actually measured with the complete 'seat-down ' arrangement as I get my canvasses and boats in easily without it, but I've never known so much room internally.   I like unorthodox solutions.. :D

Well I get by nicely on a Colt Hatchback.  Just loaded up for todays club regatta and, admittedly with the back seats up, has the grand total of a 32 inch MA/SB, 29 Inch Steam Picket boat, 20 inch Graupner Lifeboat, Toolbox, Seat, Lunchbox, Table, 2 tx, box full of charged batteries and other various odds and ends.  And still room to spare.

I could fit my 88" Dreadnought in a Nissan Almera.

(It required the back seats folded down, and the passenger seat taken out. Four bolts and two minutes with a socket wrench.)

Amazing what will fit when you think outside the box.

That's a nice looking ride, we don't see many of those over here.
This is my Nissan XTerra loaded for the pond. There's room for a table and canopy/tent with seats folded down.

I have an idea how about a .......Ford Mondeo estate ?.
Just about the Biggest space going with the rear seats down.

Regards sub.
You know what, you might be right, having the horse manure removed and new clutch put in, should be collecting by weekend.. Ford Mondeo Estate. It aint pretty, but i'm looking out and not in.

...Hi Guys...

My R reg Ford Galaxy 1.9 turbo deisel is massive inside...It hasn,t been beaten yet by a model boat...It just eats them up...

"Big Blue" is pictured here delivering a load of timber for our club house renovation project...

We can travel with 5 adults and our tugs with no problems at all...

...Best Regards...Norry...
