Hello to allhave just joined
« on: April 16, 2012, 02:21:03 pm »

I have just joined with the intention of purchasing a RC tug. I come from a long line of sailors (with me breaking the mold) my Grandfather had the longest service doing 39 yrs in the RN. My Father brought me up to hate all forms of war after his experiences in WW2( which he would never divulge) so I make do with painting the sea.
looking forward to a rewarding adventure.

Hi Nigel,
Welcome to the Mayhem!    :-)

What sort of tug and size do you have in mind?

Hi,
I was after Chris's Empire Steam tug but he has a potential buyer. Have seen an Imara that needs finishing so I might well go with that - it needs motors and electrics plus a paint and finish job but I Like a challenge. I'm a competent modeller (IMOHO) but not quite sure about the electrics...
def like the idea of a 1/32 scale job. (will make my own figures)
