Right.
Time to bite the bullet. Adolph bermpohl needs to be fitted out with some stuff to make it go.
So far. There is a servo for the rudder, a servo for the stern ramp, three motors and some wires......
The motors are 6 volt decaperm motors which I thing might be the original items. There is one large one midships and one smaller one port and starboard.
What I would like is for someone to tell me how best this ship should be set up. What type battery to get to allow best running time, what type/size esc/s would've best and how the h#ll does it all get wired up.
I intend to run ship with a 6 channel set up so that should give plenty to play with. Channel for ahead/astern, channel for steering and one for up down on stern ramp. Not fussed about having daughter boat on the same set as I can't see me getting her finished this season.
What I would like is possibly some kind of setup on throttle that allows the three motors to work together or independently as required, I kind of imagine, full ahead all three motors going, up to 75% throttle I was thinking it would be only the centre motor required, but, is it possible to use the outside motors in conjunction with the rudder to aid the steering. Is this even possible?
So, what I would like, if some electrical wizardry type person could advise and possibly draw simple pictures for me.....
Just to add a spanner into the works.......wee bitty colour blind when it comes to wires.....hate the things.
Thanks in advance and for taking the time to read my drivel.....
