so todays task was to start making the enclosure where the motor and rc gear will be and also to start the gun cockpits. To make these i used hole saw drill bit, using 2 different size to create a number of rings (quite a few as some kept breaking!! {:-{ ) which i then glue together, once sanded, filled and sanded again i think they have come out rather well :-) .

Quick update, engine housing is starting to take shape. Started to look for some Browning 50mm 30mm M1919 machine guns but i can only seem to find the barrels (think they are for tanks) at 1/16 scale (£14 for 2) so looks ill be trying to build these from scratch too.

Back at it  :-)
I've purchased x2 ,30 cal machine guns (better than the ones i made in the mean time!), some cleats and a ships wheel. I've now re painted the hull and I've been trying to figure out how best to do some lettering. I practised making a stencil with masking tape by tracing with a scalpel over the letters i printed. However it was quite difficult on some of the letters and didn't give a good finish so now I'm thinking of buying some from somewhere..
I've had a go today at making some crates that will put in the front as a bit of cargo to carry & I've got a few more bits on the way to add a bit of detail.
Im hoping to get it in the water in the next week or two, all i've got left to do is attach the ramp to the servo at the back and were good to go  :-))

(wet paint! ok2 )
