Be careful with Tensol - works well but the fumes are very unpleasant and not very safe.  I think Tensol 70 has been banned; Tensol 12 is the only one you can get now.  (Or is it the other way round  ::))

Are you trying to leave the acrylic clear after you've bonded the pieces?  If so, the only way to do it is by flooding the surfaces with a very runny liquid solvent such as dichloromethane (I think Slaters Mek-Pak is based on this solvent), then clamping the pieces together.  However, you will probably end up with bubbles, smearing and/or crazing.
If you are just trying to stick two pieces together, then dichloromethane is the best adhesive. Here's where I get mine:

MEK PAK is MEK based, ( methyl eythyl Ketone) - so be careful !

the other material that will bond acrylic is chloroform !- flood the surface and then lay one section on top of another.... - be careful to avoid bubbles and stuff !

tensol is stil lavailabe, in both 70 annd 12 forms- just its distribution is restricted.....

for all things adhesives try www.adhesivebrokers.co.uk- if nothing else very clever and  full of good advice !

( i have no links with this firm other than satisifed customer )

I use Adhesive Brokers as well for a lot of stuff - Alan's a great bloke, very knowledgeable and helpful.  If you're stuck (no pun intended) he's always worth a call.
