Dark Biter completed
« on: May 01, 2012, 04:19:07 pm »

I've just completed my second boat build, Nautical Marine Models "Dark Biter"...You can look at their website to see Dave Abbotts step by step build of the boat which proved very helpful to me.....Dave must be some sort of genius as he thought the build fairly straightforward!, I'm afraid I found it pretty hard going....
The hull, resin and white metal parts are superb and the plan is very good, but none of the internal or superstructure parts are pre-cut so you have to measure and cut, never easy for an hopeless begineer like myself,  and the instructions don't give full size templates, very frustrating....
However, I'm pleased with the result and might even get around to sailing her , (if the rain ever stops!)....Motive power is a couple of Johnson 600's driven via a single esc, 22.4 Planet receiver etc.....

Regards

Alan

Nice job, Alan :-)) Don't forget some pics when you do eventually get her in the water.
