Prop shaft for flower class...
« on: May 01, 2012, 08:30:00 pm »

Hi, I recently got given a Revell Flower Class Corvette kit, and I'm trying to get it made while spending as little as possible, so trying to use up odd bits I have lying around, hoping to use some old rattle cans of paint I've got lying around from spraying a few of my bikes. So far the only thing I'm in need of (except maybe some grey paint) is an M4 prop shaft, does anyone know what length of shaft is needed?

Also a question to anyone who's built this model, do you leave the deck as it is out of the box, or paint over it?

thanks.

Thanks, I had a search of the forum but it didn't come up with your build, the grey deck looks much better than the standard wood colour, can I ask what paint you used? Halfords type rattle cans?

I brush painted using Tamiya acrylics. Didnt have to be too neat as these ships were normally very tatty.

Would change to Revell acrylics if I was doing it now as they go on better.

I brush painted using Tamiya acrylics.

:o %% Haven't got the money (or patience) for that! Anything I brush paint always has loads of brush marks in it aswell!
