Too good to be true?  I would buy and install a fire extinguisher in your boat if I were you!

I am always wary of the published figures when the ESC has a Tamiya connection (Good only for up to about 20 amps) and cable that would not transmit 320 amps.
Something not right there.

Hi all, I bought one with similar numbers and it looks the same, for about £6 on ebay out of Hong Kong.  I am about to use it with a monoperm super, so no 300 amps there I hope!  Delivers almost all the battery voltage to the motor and is small and tucks away nicely.
Works OK, a little slow to go into reverse though.

I've had a couple of ESC that only give half sped in reverse... a sort of safety thing I guess.

An absolute must have feature if you are building boats for kids to use.....
Just picked up a brushless esc for the kids Robbe Katja that has reverse adjustable

Hello,  I answered the question!!!  I bought one and it works.

How come someone is talking about the virtues of going in reverse at half speed!  Perhaps that should be another topic!

I buy similar cheap ESCs (though usually smaller) for use in little boats. My experience has always been that they work, but the quality of workmanship is often poor. And you have to factor in the risk that, if they don't work, or fail early, there won't be a lot you can do about it......

Obviously 320A is the model number..... :-) Otherwise Chinese amps are a lot smaller than everyone elses measurement of current.

Hello OOPS!  Sorry my use of words!

What I was hoping to convey was that as the Tx stick is moved to make the motor reverse the esc does not respond instantly.  You have to move the stick a little slower after neutral to select reverse, from then on you have full speed.
I see where the confusion is.  The esc is a bit like the older esc's that had a little think as they went into reverse.
I think if you re-read my post you will see that I did not say it was slow in reverse but slower to select reverse.

Hi all, I think there is a misunderstanding here.
This is what I said.

Works OK, a little slow to go into reverse though.

It does not say it had slow power in reverse, just that when selecting reverse it was a little slow to do so.
Sorry if you misinterpreted what I said.

Rereading your first post I misread it  :embarrassed:

The slow to go into reverse isn't such a bad thing as it reduces the strain on the motor, mounts prop etc that would otherwise be put on it with an "instantaneous" direction change

Go with it Len
Its only pennies after all
If your motor only pulls a few amps
You should be ok
I have a 'blue' esc in a dickie tug conversion
Its run for two years in the hands of my
grandsons whereothers have had the
burn up.
If the model is a very expensive one then get
the best. Otherwise if it goes wrong give
yoirself a good kicking

320A???  {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)  That's just about what a car starter takes out of a battery - have you seen the thickness of those  cables? Talk about the brind reading the brind. Our rule of thumb is to divide anything from China by at least ten - apart from their population and economic growth figures....................

Thinking back to when I worked for a living - in odd places in the 50 volt DC power distribution system we had fuses that were rated in this area (130 A or thereabouts).  You could fit several of these ESCs in the space taken up by one of the fuse cartridges.  Just a thought.
