Hi everyone,
Today i have fitted the all the runing gear and steering gear.
I also have the reversing buckets working.
I have tested it all as well.
All shafts i drill when fixing pulleys with grub screws.
As i have found when you use a flat on the shafts they can work lose.
I always solder all electrical connections and use gold connectors.
Here are some pictures of today work
Regards
Alan

Hi,i have had two trips to the lake today.
I have had both boats on the water.
The jet drive boat goes along at 10.6 knotts on 11.1volt.
The prop drive does 9.6 knotts on 11.1volts
I am very happy on the performance.
I have the hiabs to make next.
The hiabs i have got from MAC'S MOULDINGS
Well here are some links to video's of the boats today

Very nice layout, and very tidy wiring.
On thing that concerns me is heat.  Brushless outrunners do generate a fair bit of heat and once the superstructure is in place will there be enough cool airflow?

Thank you for your concern about the motors geting hot.
Brushless outrunners are design to run up to 98% effecient.
So if you dont over load then they run cold.
Both boats run cold at full power.
Because of this i get very long running times.
I have found that most people who use brushless motor alway go for high kv.
As there train thought, big prop fast motor fast boat.
This is so wrong.
All you are doing is heating up air,and wasting power.
Eg,100watt condescent light bulb 10%effecient,10watts of light 90watts of heat.
As you know they get very hot.
kind regards
Alan
