Clubs

Hello again everyone,
As I mentioned in my last post, I am looking at finally sailing my Robbe Atlantis. AKA Lady Marion this year.
I would like to join a club to gain further experience in the model boat world and gain new friends.
And hey I ain't proud, how to go about actually sailing her and getting the best out of her. Sail setting etc. I know the basics which I picked up many years ago sailing Enterprises at school.
I live about 5 miles north of Derby city centre so I have looked at Burton and also Nottingham as I believe Derby model boat club no longer exists...shame really as it would have been closer, does anyone no if any one still sails at Markeaton park or Alvaston lake?
I understand that is where DMC used to go.
Regards
Steve

Derby Model Boat Club still has a web site and it has been updated to have 2012 events on it. They sail in 2 parks in the Derby area. Hope this is of help. Alan

Thanks Alan I have emailed them and yes they seem to be still afloat, pardon the pun!!
That will certainly save me a lot of time, and travelling.
