Battery Monitor
« on: September 17, 2011, 01:22:41 pm »

Recently saw a sailing yacht way over the other side of our pond with a very bright flashing red light which I assume was a battery monitoring device. Does anyone know of such a product or circuit details. I have a Voltspy from my helicopter days, but the LED's are much too small to be seen at a distance. Thanks for any info.

Try MIcron Electronics, they have a monitor that flashes whilst the voltage is fine and stops when it falls below a certain voltage.  The one I had was DIY.   Had it fitted to the heli.

Try this - very cheap!

Barrie

£3.42 is cheap? Giant Shark (Cod as was) does several monitors. This one http://www.giantshark.co.uk/2s4s-voltage-double-lipo-alarm-p-406200.html has Green changing to Red as a waring light, a twin-buzzer audible sound warning as well, adjustable between 2-4 lipos....

and costs £1.59....
