What wire for railings!?
« on: June 03, 2012, 05:36:41 pm »

When you buy a kit, the manufacturer normally provides enough copper \ brass \ welding wire to be used as rigid railings.

I need to obtain some straight rod suitable for 1:72 scale rigid railings for a part built semi kit I bought from someone ie I cant ask the manufacurer what size to buy. So, can anyone suggest what is best for the railings ie copper, brass, welding wire and places that sell it?

Thanks.

I get mine from James Lane.
It comes in a roll. Cut a length to size, one end in a vice other end in a pair of pliers, pull till you feel it stop stretching.
Perfectly straight for railings.
