Hi.
I've had this hull lying around for years, I seem to remember it's a Delta Z or something like that, '21' keeps popping into mind too for some reason (though probably has nowt to do with it cos they were made for Z class). I know they were made by an OMRA member, seem to remember brothers, or maybe father and son.... I'm sure someone here will be able to recognise it.
Anyway... As I've recently moved and now live next to a canal I've decided to build it up with stuff I've got lying around so I can have a small boat to play with... (my others are too big for a canal.... great for speed runs but not much chance of turning them round... hahaha)
I'm going to build it to Z class spec, I've a Leo .12 and pipe sitting here so why not.
It'll be surface drive (inline rudder I'm afraid... I know I know but it's what I've got lying around) but I'm not sure what size prop I'll need. I'm presuming an X435 or possibly an X438. I've got an X437/3 but I reckon that'll be too much for the little .12... Can anyone shine a bit of light for me please...
Also, the hull has a single step, but if I aim to get the C0fG at around 30% it places it about an inch or so forward of the step, which doesn't seem right to me....
Has anyone here built and raced one of these hulls? If so please give me the benefit of your experience
Cheers
Kev.
