ACTION MIXER
« on: April 15, 2007, 09:42:40 pm »

my LTC had an outing today, fisrt time in a long tiome. relies heavily on ther Action mixer to make it easier to steer. unfortuantly i found that the motors cut out at full throttle. As this is a flooting brick it needs props to get her to turn.
So jumped on to the Action web site to get advice but unfortuantly, due to ill health, they are not able to help, at this time. Just wondered if any one could offer any help.
if it turns out to be deceased is there someone else out there knocking out a mixer?
cheers

try a JJC mixer, I have one in my Southampton I have used 2, one burned out when I accidentally forgot to de-BEC the esc's so it gave out the magic smoke and stopped working.  Apart from that they are ok

i am using M-tronics speed controls, used to work ok. the vessel these are in is basically a brick and relies heavily on motor/rudder mixing.
done a search on Jcc, so any more of a clue please.

 :)Hi Colin

M Troniks make a mixer for marine use. You require the W model mixer this unit is very thin and about  25 mm by 25 mm  check out M Troniks Web  Site.  Stan  ;)

Hi Colin,

Have a look on http://www.huntersystems.co.uk/
In the search area type mixer.  That should bring up a list.
It appears that these mixers - v tail and w tail are made by mtronics.
Im sure if you give Graham a call at Hunter Systems he will be able to tell if either will be suitable for your needs.

I've heard of a couple of people who have used v tail mixers for motor / rudder control.

Terry.
