RFA Sir bedivere
« on: June 12, 2012, 06:22:09 pm »

Hi there this is my first post of my ships. This one is complete and was at the CADMA show last weekend and was gobsmacked to see her win best warship. Believe me thee were some cracking models there.

This was scratch built apart from the JB Models vehicles on the middle vehicle deck over a period of 12 years from plans obtained from the maritime museum in London and Babcock rosyth dockyard via the RFA support office in Bath. The RFA gave me full access to the ship at Marchwood over a perid of about a week where I took over 1000 photos of her to complete the detailing. The build lasted on and off 12 years and I am still finding stuff to do. Come the point though where you move on. I am about at that point.

Well deserved.
I looked and thought to myself,
How does one have the patience
for all the detailing?
It was brilliant

She's is a cracking model Nigel, a well deserved award.

Personally, I marveled at your detail on and above the Bridge.

You missed a bit!  ;D

Seriously tho a very nice model, It's putting me off building a Fleetscale HMS York tho, as I don't think I could dream of getting any where near the standard of your build.

I'm off to put the tools away :(
