Motor Screws.
« on: February 05, 2013, 05:07:18 pm »

High,  i have a couple of boats both using 385, 400 type motors. They both use the same type of  screws to screw the motor onto the mount. My question is what size are these screws and is there an equivalent i could use in hexagon head ( Allen type ? ) as these would be easier for me to undo as my mounts are bedded in and not screwed in. ?Allso, where could i get them from? Thank you, regards, Dave.

Quick way to sort things is go to a trade nut and bolt etc supplier. They will identify your thread and should have a range of head types. please remember to ensure that the fastener is cut to a correct length as it is possible to damage the windings with to long a bolt. John

Screws are M2.3. I don't have a source but I'm sure Mr Google knows of somewhere.
