What would be the better option, reduce the prop to a 3 blade smaller one or keep the 4 blade prop and put an MFA 800 in

For a tug I would use an MFA 800.

Just noticed on the ad for the tornado esc it doesn't say anything about lead acid batteries will it be ok to use it with them

yes it will aslong as it is up to 12v

Yes it states on the ad. 5-10 cells / 6-12 volt.

I run a 850torpedo with a tornado ESC using lead acid battery and 50m/m 3 blade prop, I backed this up with a 30amp fuse,this set up I have used for some years.I hope this is some help to you.

Thanks for your post I have settled on an MFA 800 with a Tornado esc with an inline fuse
