Its an eagle kit car see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0UytZVGc_g
Note the matching headlights, door handles, and bonnet.

The Eagle may have been copied from the Nova see ..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_Design_and_Development.
and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purvis_Eureka  Evidently there were many variants sold/built around the world...
The Nova power unit was also commonly a rear mounted flat four VW Beetle engine and some of the Eagle variants were fitted with
the same engine

Hope this helps . . .

Nearly bought a Nova when they were being built/marketed in Mirfield. Fortunately common sense prevailed as the lid would have been a problem in our climate, bad enough getting in a conventional car in the rain. "Special" seats were available in Mirfied, De Lorian had just closed operations. Trying to see over the dash line and keeping you head down from the lid made it an ideal static posermobile. Bonito (GT40 look alike) was a better bet.
