Hi Folks,
I am new to boat modelling and recently got an Engel Akula kit as a present. Very impressive kit indeed.
I have managed to cut open the various flood vents using my Dremel (tough job for a beginner, took about 5-10mins a hole and not perfect
). I am now trying to fix up the rudders and propeller and and is wondering if there are any tips or tricks to doing it? In particular, I am especially concerned if the rudder/propeller holes are distorted/slanted and could affect the sub's performance and/or internal connections.
1. How could I ensure that the holes are drilled correctly? Any technique or tools to use to ensure alignment?
2. When epoxying the rudders together and to the hull, should the epoxy be limited to just the contact points between the parts? or should I apply them outside around the surrounding base as well? (I am using the Slow Set - 30mins Epoxy from Mercury Adhesives -

Any kind experts or past builders can help shed some light or advise for a newbie?
Many thanks in advance!
