Bait boat help...
« on: July 08, 2012, 08:06:14 pm »

Via email to Mayhem....

Hello mate,
Great looking site, really informative!

I'm an absolute novice to the world of RC Boats. I'm a keen fisherman and refuse to pay the hundreds of pounds for a bait boat, so I intend to build a boat myself.

I have looked all over the internet for information of how to drive the thing but there are so many options and it's just a bit confusing. I'm trying to do it on a shoe-string budget and I would really appreciate your input if you have time. I am looking at a twin prop to move and steer it therefore no need for a rudder. Can the motors go in reverse, do I need esc's for each motor, so many questions so little time.. Do you know of any site's that could help? I have attached a pic of my boat just to give you an idea of what i'm doing.

Thanks for you time,
L

Talk to Dave @ ACTion electronics, he may be able to help with the power train & control, plus he will do you a wiring diagram if you buy bits from him, Mick B.
