Skin plasters
«
on:

I'm sure you used to be able to buy a paint on skin plaster protector but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
It was a bit like copydex but thicker.... I have a really annoying abrasion on a finger tip and plaster just get in the way....
Any recommendations?

This stuff is pricey but lasts for ages - puts a plastice type skin over a cut

From memory, the stuff you are thinking of could be "Nu-Skin".
Hope that helps.

I found something like it in a little aerosol in Asda (own brand). Just wondering - if its waterproof, will it be a good sealer for servos and such?

The brush on stuff is waterproof, therefore i see no reason why the spray won,t be waterproof, because after all,its use is to protect, the cut,or abrasion

The lab results are in...
Elastoplast Spray Plaster
-
OK but wears away quickly - very thin, offers no cushioning.
Germolene new skin
-
A bit better that the spay on stuff but offs not much chusioning either.
Applicator in bottle is tricky to use, it's a plastic wedge shaped "brush".
Opsite Spray Dressing
-
Haven't tried it yet - seems very expensive......
Also tried
Finger Cots
but was lauged out of the house for wearing a condom on me finger!
http://www.fingercots.net/
Gone back to the old tried and tested method plaster wif an extra bit of selotape raaand it!
So much for modern medicines!!

PVC tape is better (and easier to spell!)
