POWER BOAT HULL

Can anyone identify this hull please, the forward hatch has been cut out to move the engine forward.

Length 46" Beam 13"

looks similar to a seadancer ? by waverider mouldings (martno1fan) hull defo same !

Yea thats one of the orriginals used to be seaquel or something,hatch was too small for gas which was why i remodeled mine and remoulded.Hulls run great in the chop but dont like flat water.Heres one i built for James off the forum green one,i also removed freeboard from her to get a sleaker look and deck is now overlapping(shoebox).There is a guy still making the old style like yours but as you can see the hatch is just too small.

Thanks Mart, I was told it was a shortend Pipedream without the rounded corners on the transom, I cut the hatch to
fit a 26cc petrol motor further forward,

I have done some research on this hull, after the comments from Mart.
The hull was originally based on Riptide by John Smith, It is called Sequel with a wider beam and a step, Mart actually built one in 2007, after reading his build log I was surprised at the engine position 300mm from the transom which included a clutch, but it appeared to run well, I would like your opinions what you think would
be the best position, I will probably fit an electric starter.

mines the green one in the photo by martin i have the plug fo the motore just before the aire scoop on the hach towords the transorm and she planes exaently corners well and loves the rough water she tends to run a bit flat on mill pond water thou great little boat  :-))

Mick set cog at arround 30% and she should run well,shes fast enough with a stock motor (zen) anything modded she can be a handfull  ;).Reason i had the engine so far back was due to the small hatch,i eventually moved it after the remod and also removed the clutch as its not needed.She ran mid 40s all day in the chop,great fun youll be surprised how well she handles the rough stuff too.The original was built like a tank way too heavy, the one James has is way lighter and stronger too.
I made James one to order i dont actually make them much now because the moulds worn and needs redoing but his came out ok with some work,much lower than yours too another reason for the new cowl.

Thanks Mart, I'm going to fit a GWI 26cc with auto advanced CDI Ignition.I got this hull from ebay over 3 years ago £36.00 inc delivery, he had 4 for sale, It's a very good moulding, I will probably make a new hatch to give better access  and fit a electric starter as the old back is now completely shot.
This will make a change to go back to sports boats as I have been building steam boats for last 2 years.
