Plastikote Acrylics & thinning
« on: July 21, 2012, 02:12:12 pm »

Can anyone tell me, is it possible to thin Plastikote acrylic paint and if so, what with? Can acrylics be thinned with simple tap water?

TIA

EDIT; D'oh! Do the acrylics only come in spray cans!?  {:-{

OK on its own Richard.
It doesnt take kindly to acrylic though.
Halfords rattle cans (used by many) are
acrylic so Plasticote should be used in
isolation unless you need a ripple effect.

Plasticote do a clear acrylic spray but not to be used on styrene or styrofoam.

Hi all.

Plastikote acrylics are only in spray cans (so answered my own question  :}). Plastikote enamels are in tins.

I've used Plastikote acrylics on Drumbeat and the Envoy with absolutely no problems.
