Just about to start a model of HMS Lion the WW1 battlecruiser. Am I right in thinking at this period the average width of the deck planks were 9 inches and teak? or am I barking up the wrong tre.

It was usually 9" for a Cruiser and 11"  for a Battleship

John -- Just to "diverge" this thread a bit --what would be the width of the deck planks on a typical 60' Scottish fishing boat (circa 1930-1950?)
