Leaving Concorde, but still on true scale jets, I had (until my hard drive died over Christmas!) a video of a true scale B-52, complete with 8 real jet engines. It looked fantastic as it taxied, then up to full power and a perfect takeoff. Unfortunately, during a steeply banked turn, it literally fell out of the sky, crashed and was completely destroyed. Terribly sad to see literally years of work destroyed in mere seconds. Apparently, the 1:1's had a tendency to fall out of the sky when executing the same manouver (I'm sure that isn't spelt correctly!). I can't remember where I found the clip, but it was from the web. I think the engineering skill of the miniature gas turbine guys is simply stunning. Anyone any ideas about putting one in a boat...
