hms lion 1939

hello there everyone ., can any of you people out there help me out a little or a lot ive been planning on building hms lion as per 1939 spec but im having a few little probs .
1st as she was been built she was scrapped so there are not many pictures of this ship.
2nd the size im building her is a mere 6 foot in lenght and around 13 to 14 in width.does any one no what scale this is ??????
3rd i have only a two channel radio so (removed from my spearfish for this) would this be ok to use ?

any help from anyone in any way pics info on her would be greatfully recived and appreciated .

As the ship was never completed there are no pictures of her. Essentially the design was an enlarged King George V class battleship with nine 16 inch guns instead of 10 14 inch. There are various views of how the ship may appeared which you can find by Googling and there is also another thread on this site which touches on the subject.

If you just want control of motors and rudder then 2 channel R/C will be OK but with a 6 foot model you will need heavy duty running gear including speed controllers and servos.

For general information have a look at this site: http://www.jgames.co.uk/title/Lion_class_battleship from which you can calculate the scale if the model is to be around 6 feet long.

In this link they were to be 840 foot long, so at 6 foot your model will be about 1/140 scale.

How about these. Lion class.
Contemporaries of the USN South Dakota Class these ships were abandoned because of the war.

thank you thank you loads a info . great stuff . i did a google search and not a lot comes up exept the same over and over. but what you guys found is more than i expected ,  :)
