Jock and Shuey were looking in the window of a posh pie shop in Glasgow when Jock spied an unusually ornate type of pastry offering...

"ere Shuey" he said "is that a pie or a meringue ?"

Jock replied " noo   yer nae wrang Jock, it is a pie right enough"

Still recon you cant beat a Morrisons hand raised pork pie, still warm from the oven :-)) :-)) :-))

A pie is also a handy snack to take to the lake, no messing about trying to hold a butty together, contained in a robust pastry case and can be eaten with one hand, leaving the other free to steer the boat. :-)) :-)) :-))

When slightly warm, the pastry retains an oven fresh crispyness, we are not talking hot here, merely warm. on occasions, by way of a change, one also likes to sink ones gnashers into a Dockyard Tortoise, these are at their best when piping hot, and therefore suitable sustenance for cold days..... ;) ;) ;)
