« on: August 17, 2012, 08:56:02 am »

Hi All

I have attached a couple of photo's to see if anyone can help with identification please, length is 8" (including burner) by 3 1/2" diameter, there is a 4 digit number on the base plate it is also paired with an SVS engine.

Oh yes and the end plate can be removed showing cross tubes and superheater.

Thank You

Mike ,
What are the numbers on the boiler, ? they should tell you what the original test pressures were.
Can't help in who made it but it looks professionally made.

The numbers are 9876 and 9879 on the brass base plate

I notice the style of securing the burner in place is much the same as SVS, unlike Cheddar or MHB which are just push fit

Thanks for your reply

Mike,
These numbers are probably the Boiler  Certificate Numbers,
You may find that by removing the lagging the test Numbers are stamped on the circumference of the boiler at the end plate nearest the burner.
These numbers will be required by whoever is going to do a hydraulic test on your boilers for certification, so the lagging will need to come of anyway as it will be classed as a new boiler and tested as such.
