Wow what a collection your friend made that is incredible.  I hope that you get a good sale on what looks like some very impressive boilers and engines.

Someone in Edinburgh having a clear out! Some nice boats here but some unrealistic expectations on some of the prices imho.

Considering the number of posts from him over the past few weeks I think he must be a dealer. Some very unrealistic prices.

Heís a middle man for someone, who is getting on a bit now.
The collection is massive, the prices are probably what the actual owner paid for the models.

He's been advertising constantly for many months. I was beginning to wonder myself whether he was a trader or selling on behalf of others because the descriptions are relatively short each time.  I don't think they'll shift on prices, I watch those listings constantly.

I don't think so. I have looked at the photos of what Beale has. I don't see that Pilot boat or steam dredge there.

On the subject of eBay has anyone found problems with the site the last 24h? Both my laptop's can't click on anything linking to a change in display -so there might be 10 pics on a posting, but can only see the default first picture, can't see delivery details etc.  Basically all the sales pages have frozen out. There was a very short timed listing for a Vic Smeed's cormorant, which by chance I'm building loosely from a sarik hobbies hull right now. I managed to see some photos from my android phone but back on windows it's all frozen again.  Listing ended now anyway -time it was available for was very short.

Yes! Been having the same issues but only started about 5pm today. Think the site may be having a cyber attack!

Hi all if anyone fancies restoring a Graupner Gracia yacht here is one for sale although the seller seems unaware of what the yacht is.  They are hard to find and if you are looking it is not bad.  Do not seem to have all the fittings that came with the kit though.  Needs new sails.  This kit was on sale in the 1960's and has a cast iron keel weight.  Sails very nicely, I was sailing my one yesterday.
