Forget the round ships, lots of other pics and close ups of other Russian naval ships.

I really enjoyed reading that  :-))

Here is a model of a proposed MerseyChain Ferry of 1865. I don't have anymore info on it - just a note that says Dave Wooley? As it is round I thought I'd pop it in - I would love to know more.

This has started to rekindle my interest in the circular ships (as if I hadn't got enough on my plate...)

I guess that chain ferry would be a lot easier to build than the Novgorod, a semi hidden propshaft would move it along, much easier than all those shafts in the Ruskie. A bit of fiddling about and those chains could be made to move as well, which would look good...hmm.

I think a strong black coffee is needed, Barry...

If your looking for round Russian ships you might consider the "Livadia"  He was built as an Imperial yacht

Oh my, who started this again??? >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( >>:-(

A large brandy is needed, not a coffee Rich.....Mind you, she would make into a fascinating model if we could get more information relating to scale etc....Liverpool Maritime museum used to be one of my favourite haunts, but it is a bit far to go these days......as for Norsemans very kind offer, what do you think Rich? {:-{ {:-{ {:-{

Well turning the wheel around I always thought that Knapp's Roller Boat would be interesting.

Now come on Dave,

Ok - I've never been to Malaga.

Right I'll see what I can come up with at the Museum. Liverpool also has an excellent central library.
If I'm doing detective work then I'll need a name ...........hmmn Bluey or Cannon?
I'll decide over a couple of pints in The Slaughterhouse
