how to bend a flexi shaft

im doing a project at the min and have bought a 330mm flexi shaft and outer but i need to put a bend in it ,

my question is , is there a best way to do this without nackering it up

Leave the shaft and ptfe liner in the tube and bend it with your hands :-))

It really is. Make sure you do leave the shaft in whenever bending the tube as otherwise you'll get kinks. Also make all bends as shallow as you can to reduce friction.

Good info! Just as a plumber will use a bending spring to prevent a copper water pipe from kinking at a bend, it also prevents the internal diameter from reducing. Which is something even more necessary for a prop shaft!  O0

I'm about to try and make up a flexi shaft system for a foam flying wing. I came here looking for advice too and found LB's question helpful.
I'm not a boat builder yet, but maybe a flying boat could be on the cards.  ok2
