Started playing with the exhaust housing, I was going to frame it like a aircraft wing but decided to just block it up with balsa.

Hi Martin, I must admit I get a smug little grin when I think about the bow wave she'll put out  ;)

I got a chance to make the motor mount today, 1 layer of 7mm ply and a piece of 3mm clear acrylic epoxied either side, the slots are for some supports to run aft.

 Just ignore the temporary brace.

I managed to get the wheelhouse glued together (look no clamps!) windows drawn, cut and test fitted ready for staining and applied a coat of epoxy sealer.

oh, and the shrouds for the port/starboard nav lights.

I also finished adding details to the deck drawing such as the main opening, bulwark support locators, bow and stern bitt holes ready for fitting and worked out a template for the coaming, keep in mind its just a template and will end up about 20mm thick.

I should probably also mention that I fired her up and had a run in the test tank, on the bench on 24v she was drawing 2.5amps flat out with no lubrication, not sure of the amps in the tank due to the fact I stripped the thread out of my prop, I think it loosened a bit while in reverse then when I went forward it quickly pulled itself back in, a bit like a twist drill and tore out the brass thread :(

I finally got the window frames done and stained, not fixed in yet just sitting in place and a couple of coats of primer on the wheelhouse.

I usually figure eight the line around the two posts the loop the line between the through the hole but for this one I might use some 6mm rope with a carabiner clip.

Hi Norseman, good to hear from you  :-)) If you saw how I sail them you would understand why I build em tough.
Sadly I have lost a few photos due to a dodgy SD card but here's an updated photo.

The nametags or only temporarily held on with blu-tac and the mooring bollards are over length.

Thanks guys, all automotive acrylics, my only regret is not fixing that blemish in the waterline just above the sterntube.

Hi Dougal, it fell off my old shop counter, I'm kinda lucky in a way because I have the plastruct rack, a full evergreen rack, a full humbrol rack and 3 k+S metal centres, plus a tub full of Gunze paints :) its a hard life :-))
