My best fathers day present was also my first ,My oldest daughter was born June 16th 1996 (Fathers Day) there is no way any will top that one for me, told my wife in the the day before to get me a fathers day card, two weeks befor due date , she replied dont be stupid I am not due for a fortnight , so I said fair enough , well as usual went to the creels on Fathers Day got a shout on the VHF while we were steaming in from mymother saying my wife was in labour and was refusing to go into the ambulance till I got back to portree , so the oldman took me straight to the pier so I could drive 20 miles to Portree , then when I arrived she left for Inverness 120 mile drive needless to say I got caught short driving through so stopped at Cluanie hotel to relieve my self (overtook the ambulance ) got out asked a couple of hillwalkers if they had seen the ambuloance ,No was the reply so heasded back to Skye but saw a forestry worker and asked him .Yes I saw it twenty minute agoo and no it hasnt returned so foot to the floor to Raigmoire and at 21:30 my oldest daughter Abigail was born
