Looks a bit like one of Mr Smiths (Veron) offerings but Length and beam dimensions would help? Looks like a coaster.

That is a deep sea side winder trawler
The mast is a more modern style seen on some sidetrawlers  such as

But wheel house and rea structure more akin to the older vessels this vessel has been converted to a Standby Vessels for oilrigs

but that style mast could do for a conversion to a beam trawler

Hi Malcolm.........

it's a scratch built model of the Trawler "Mt Portia".........a model  Side winder Trawler that appeared as plans only in the old MAP (probably now My Hobby Store plans) some years ago.......it looks though as though the builder got the bow section a little wrong as she is too bulbous......the old trawlers had beautiful flaired bows designed especially for cutting through and dispensing with the rough seas they were subjetced too in Arctic conditions............however, the superstructure and funnel have been made well.( I know the model as I had a set of plans for many years for her)..she was a diesel electric hybrid vessel if memory serves me well.
If memory serves me as well she made into a trawler of around 50 inches at 1:48th scale

she wouldn't though, have had a bow thruster, as a trawler.........that's somewhat the imagination of the model builder!

Sorry about the lateness of the reply , but thanks for all the input . I can now do some more searching and try and repair the model .
The bow thruster was added by the previous owner but is non working at the moment.
Thanks again
