dumas tugs,"kits".
« on: September 05, 2012, 02:02:18 pm »

Hi ya all.
I am thinking of purchasing one of the two dumas, kit tugs,
can anyone throw any light on the quality of these kits, or otherwise,
has anyone built one, and what was their experience.

Any help would help me not to buy a pup!!
many thanks    John.wadsworth.

Dumas has wood and ABS hulled Tug kits ...

Which do you mean ?

I have built two different of the wooden hulled models, went quite well ( challenges of course, but thats the case with any model, Yes ? )

Hello!!!
Few years ago a build the Carol Moran Tug, it is a small one, took me about 3 months working on her about an hour or half an hour every day. I really enjoined building her, we can say that she is about 95% plastic (Styrene and other plastics), you can add a los of details and I recommend to use another way of propulsion than they suggest (by a servo)

Best regards
