BUSKERS
« on: September 09, 2012, 07:41:00 pm »

Whether you find them a pleasure to listen to or a pain in the backside, I came across this guy in Blackpool today, and spent a very pleasurable 90 minutes sat in the sunshine listening to him play  the old hits from my era including some great numbers from the Tornado's and the Shadows.

The only difference though from the normal busker, is that this guy is totally blind, and that's his guide dog that keeps him company....and I reckon he can play a decent guitar.

Now that the eastern europeans have invaded Scotland they are to be found busking all over the city centre with their accordions and fiddles playing the gypsy music.
You can tell these people are obviously the Roma`s and it looks like its how they have made their living and you would describe their repertoire as cafe muzak.
Its all very lively foot tapping stuff and you can hear the Jewish influence in a lot of it.   Some times we even have the Aztecs out busking as well .
