Hi. I am building a plug for the 2208s (sounds like a bloody sports car) damen specials for cory. the hull shape is very complicated and and i am now wondering if I will have to make a 3 part mould and not just my usual 2 part split at the keel type.
reason for the Plug 3 mates at work want RC ones and the easiest way I have found is to make a mould.
I have go used to the amount of space a GRP hull gives and the way I lay them up there is never a need for frames or bulkheads!
When i wrote to the builders they gave me a polite clear off after asking for some hull lines. But where theres a will there's a way. a few corroded washers and a so-so bottle of meths to a marine superintendent and hey-presto... some lines. drop me a PM and i'll see what magic the email of a pdf can produce.

...Hi Lighterman...

Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of the Hull Lines of the 2208S...

I am very interested in  getting a hull from you to build a working model and would like to explore the build a bit further...

All of corys are undergoing refits back where they came from. More belting round them and stainless rudder plates because the originals were rotting fast.
the belting is round the sterns and under the flair as they seem vulnerable and Damen have not met any lighterage tug skippers it seems. STAND HARD!

My first born! Used woven glass cloth this time as a trial and it seems a lot more flimsy than my last GRP hull which not to put too finer point of was like a S*&$$ing battleship or a bathtub!
I guess to stiffen it up in the sides some glassed in stringers will help. The interior is very large and when I have sanded it down I will do a displacement test.
I made the sides about 1.5 inches taller than needed so it could either be a "cory" special or the next size up the 2609.
Its when I do the 2 part plug on a round bilged boat they seem to come out better than hard chined versions.
here are the first pictures of the just released hull No 1

I'm surprised no one pointed this one out to you earlier.  <*<

The Wheelhouse section however is different to that of the plan, however it wouldn't take much to change that part.

Here's some images of one i built earlier (2 years ago now)

Good job so far tho  :-))

Anyone planning on sellling any of these hulls? I'd be more than happy to part with some cash for a decent sized offering, plus perhaps assist in R&D + costs etc.
