ebay experts?
« on: September 14, 2012, 09:15:29 pm »

Not sure if I've changed something ( well I don't how to change it back! ) but all the thumbnail on my 'watch page' have suddenly become huge - but annoyingly still normal small size in my search pages.  >:-o

How do I change the size of the thumbnails / pictures on my 'watch & Summery pages'?

I've noticed that on ebay.co.uk all still appears 'normal-ish', but on eBay.com, the thumbnails are more akin to like Big-toe-nails.

All probably due to the updates being put in place for the 'new look' eBay launch with the new logo in mid-October. Check the announcements (normally found in the left hand column) on the summary page

Dont't think much of thier new logo they are about to launch, must have taken them seconds to come up with that one.

If someone had used a bit of common-sense, they could have probably got a good deal on a bright and shiny brand new logo, on Amazon...   :-))

Hi martin.
not you its the Flea-bay goblins they have a habit of changing the format every few months when you are a sleep at night a bit like ASDA you just get familiar with the store layout and can zoom round the shelves for the groceries in minutes then they go and change it all and you then have to spend a month learning it all again. Bummer...

I have had to reduce my page zoom down to 75%.  you can always do that.

eBay have now launched their dynamic, eye-catching new logo, which appears at the top-left of the My eBay page.

However, in case you can't find it, the ever-so-helpful Gnomes of eBay have added a 'Our New Logo' logo (with direction arrows!) for your information...

Seems all the changes have resolved themselves...
..... or ebay have finally listened to their customers.    <*<

Thumbnails back to small size on both watch list and browse pages.

 Hi Guys.
Guess what Flea Bay have changed the page layout again, on the up side they have restored the click on pic to enlarge app

which they seemed to have lost when the new style logo was introduced.

Yes, like Mayhem, after all the shuffling around... it is better with better options, eg, UK only.

Locking up My Ebay page
« Reply #18 on: March 01, 2013, 09:25:28 pm »

This might seem an odd post but I would like to know if anyone who uses Ebay is experiencing this problem.
Every time the Vodaphone (red band ) add is displayed on the top of  'My Ebay' page
my screen locks up for several seconds. When viewing further down the page it is fine
as soon as I scroll back up and the red band is visible on screen it immediately locks up
again.
Anyone have this problem I wonder?

ASDA you just get familiar with the store layout and can zoom round the shelves for the groceries in minutes then they go and change it all and you then have to spend a month learning it all again.

Not 100% certain but I think they do this so that, because you have to go looking for your regular items, there's every chance you'll see something extra to buy, thereby increasing sales.

Hit them back by taking a shopping list with you and stick to it.  <*<

...or shop somewhere else ?  %)

Regards,

Ray.

n.b. just to stay with the thread - never used eBay so can't comment on their page layouts etc.,  :-X

Dave,
I'm sure you must have run across the ad without noticing it.
It appears near the top of your 'My Ebay' page, below the search box and above the 'My Ebay Summary' heading .
The Ads are changing all the time and can be related to any number of products that you have been looking at on the web.
At the moment I have a Barclaycard ad showing.
Yes, I have tried disconnecting the router, almost every time, but it doesnt help
when the Vodaphone ad is showing.
I'd be interested to know if you come across it during the day.
Thanks....N

I use adblock plus, that seems to get rid of a good percentage of those ads - just checked - no ads on ebay.
if its an animated ad just hitting esc should stop it running

Thats very odd? No ads?
I have this large banner going right across the screen, changing from
one ad to another all the time.
Perhaps they're targetting me!
Anyway thanks, will try the Esc fix.
