Hiya everyone

Don't worry we are sending our best man to negotiate for a possible discount price for the Mayhemers! :-))

For anyone who wants to know what the price covers:

Car parking (obviously!)
Entrance to the whole park land
Covers entrance to the children's play areas
Any event organised by Wicksteed Park, such as car boot sales

If you want to use the larger attractions such as roller coasters then a wrist bands can be purchased from the entertainment booth.
Anyone camping or caravaning on the site has free entrance (wouldn't be fair to keep charging you to enter the park if you are using the campsite!  ;) )

All the the food, tea and coffee, toilets facilities are fully open, the coffee in the main cafe is very good if you like your different coffees- all fairtrade brands, tea is also available!

The new drainage system which surrounds the model boat lake seems to be working very well, the ground is dry as a bone, even with all that rain we have just had! (Sorry 'vertical mist!') {-)
By the way, the penguin springer is on its way, just wave or shout at it and it will put on a little show for you! {-) %%
See you there!

 <:( <:( <:(
A bottle of how many liters?
If this is done for samples from five or six drinks a normal bottle suffice.
You're lucky, the French can not come this year if .......
We wake up in the habit of dipping u smoked herring in the Beaujolais. A bottle and three herring and that goes for half the morning.
We will make allowances next year, and with your unique bottle you will be a small player %)

British subjects who come to GAZOULAND in five days will tell ;)

Hi Martin and all lovers of vertical mist !!!

It will be me who does the report for Marine Modelling International at Wicksteed this year. So please wear the LOUDEST shirt in your wardrobe. As for the rest of you please start to rehearse your cheeeeeeeezyest grins starting now.

Here's hoping for some long overdue rays and can someone turn the wind off.

Look forward to seeing you all.

cheers

Hi Martin,
I understand from the posts that you can turn up and sail (numbers and frequencies depending of course).   Does this apply to us submariners as well, or are there specific time slots that you have the subs in (or should i say under) the water.

Turn up and sail! Hopefully there will be a few event like club 500 and some other things but generally it's down to you. If you need a table Luton model boat club can probably help out ie me! Stay away from the Scottish contingent, they only like warships, nit subs!

Hey you I have a few subs.....but all my warships are always on the look out for a target {-) {-) {-)
Its always good to see a sub or 2 in the water and the pond at wickstead does lend itself for sub running
being nice and clear  :-))

YOU braqgging again.

As regards subs there will be an area that will be cordened off for the specific use of small boats and Submarines this is to stop the bigger boats running over them

What really bothers me is simple Klunk any sub that sails in main part of the lake will simply get mashed if the Happy Hunter goes over it by accident 130 lbs of Tug verses grp well I know what would win and it would be hte sub....Mind you if anything crosses my Path just rember I CAN NOT STOP very easily !!!!!!!!!!

I do hope modellers will be careful of other peoples boats.  I remember a big boat doing a scale 80 kts last year that had those of us with scale ships rushing to get them out of the water before they got swamped and sunk by the wash.

PS:  If all goes well this weekend I will be bringing a heavy warship with a huge brass reinforced ram 3 inches below the waterline.
