Had a "chat" with Wicksteed Park management today;

"Sorry you can't put up your advertising banner outside or by the gate, we don't allow advertising banners any more. You can put it up inside the park if you wish."

Me: ".......????!   (speechless) "

But we have ways and means!  :-X

We at Wicksteed Park MBC were just as shocked as Martin when they told him that!
What annoyed us was the fact that we were told we could put up signs only be told that we can't- bonkers!

But as Martin says We have ways and means!
We'll sort them out!!! <*<

Stavros,

I was catching up with some posts last night and would like to pass on congrats you and your better half - However, could you confirm a rumour please?

Is it right you are currently preparing a large Yellow Springer Tug with a Pushchair on top, and calling it 'Nappy Hunter'?   {-)

'Hello everyone,

Nigel has just rung to say that someone has waded into the lake, cut the wire mesh  around the straw bales (weed control) and freed up the straw so that it is all floating on the water.  It is hard to believe that young vandals would have been responsible as they probably would not know what effect the straw had or would they have waded out to the centre of the lake.

My guess is that the person(s) responsible were well prepared and possibly knew that Mayhem was less than a week away.  It may even have been the same people who smashed the shelf in the shelter earlier in the week. There is [a good] possibility that some activity in the lake area may have been caught on the cameras.

Please, if you can, come to the lake tomorrow (Sunday) and help out in any way you can.  We have about 3 rakes so any more would be helpful, plus anyone who has waders to get into the water.

An update will be available at the meeting Monday night and further working parties are a certainty for next week.

Maureen - A/ club sec.'

Considering that yesterday me and Dad (Steve) with Nigel and Maureen cleared the lake up in preparation for the mayhem weekend, we are not best pleased.  >>:-( >>:-( >:-o
The incident will be reported to Wicksteed Park security and Management, Steve is not happy at all, whoever is responsible for this vindictive action will sought out and reported, we have a good idea who might have done it but its proving it, that's why we are hoping the cameras caught them entering the park or the car park but unless there's footage of them in the lake there's not much we can do either!
But we live in hope...  <*<
No one is going to stop us or the mayhemers having some fun next weekend  :-))  looking forward to seeing everyone again.

P.S. I will personally organise a Tornado GR4 tactical strike on the guilty person's house!
Regards
