Well, after all the flooding the water receded and left us with a layer of mud and silt which we have almost finished digging out. Luckily it was nowhere as bad as earlier this year but we have half a lake which is sparkling clean where there is no mud whatsoever just don't look at the other end where its about 1/2 inch deep! :-)

Everyone at Wicksteed Park is looking forward to the Mayhem next year which from what I hear will be the Whit weekend (Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 of May, 2013). So nice clean lake and my soul has apparently been sold to some penguins to pay for some good weather! Happy Mayheming everyone!

Just found this picture on my Dad's camera of Martin at the Deans Marine open weekend, looks like he's down on one knee for something! Wonder if he is praying for the sunshine for Mayhem at Wicksteed 2013?  :-)) :-)) :}

Watching all those boats bobbing up and down can easily induce a bout of seasickness..... ;)

 Unusual for me, it seems that i've made a slight fopar...  :P  .... we usually do 2nd Bank holiday in May...

Mayhem at Wicksteed should be May 25 and 26 (Whit Weekend)

I'm new to the hobby and the forum and after reading this discussion thread it appears that this has been quite an event in the past.

Martin; are these dates confirmed ?

Hi Martin,
The Model Hovercraft Association is considering coming to the Mayhem bash this year, although we have the Hovershow at Gosport the weekend before, so depends whether we can muster enough support. Will there be an event details posting at some point, or is it literally a turn up and sail do?

Cheers,
Jason

Yes, as sir Klunk says, pitch up and sail.
 We'll supply the water both ground and sky based!

(  Hey Klunk, are you going to be there Sat & Sunday? )

Well flights have been booked. (less than €100 return) funnily enough the car hire for the weekend cost more!

Now to get myself into gear and get something ready lol
