Billings Samson 2 Plans
« on: September 17, 2012, 08:52:47 pm »

Hello there,

I've been lucky enough to be given a half finished Billings Samson 2 tug recently.
Unfortunately there were no plans or instructions included, nor was there any fittings.
I've already contacted Billings direct, but unfortunatley they didn't have any copies of the plans.
Does anyone out there have an old copy of the plans they could scan & send over to me?

Many thanks in advance,

Neil.

Martin,

Now that all depends on the number of pages now doesn't it.
At that rate the plans could cost more than the finished boat!!

All that aside - the guts of the boat have already been done for me.
whats missing is the fittings & details.
I was hoping to get the original Billings fittings reference numbers,
so I can order in the parts that are missing.

Are you able to scan & email over the pages?

Hi. Neewby at this game, have had a working Samson given to me in working?? Condition.
I would be interested on the plans / instructions that you have been talking about.
My main probblems are the power control and battery size?. Do hope you can help.

I'll email them to you over the next few days.... remind me when I've forgotten!

Is yours the single or twin motor setup?

Thanks for that. Mine is the twin prop. Have found a 12v battery and it seems to be all right to run motors but I have not run it in the bath yet. Its a bit bigger than my rubber duck so I may have to try the boating lake for a good test.

12v sounds a bit much as my Samson only had small (380 / 400) sized motors.
I would have though you should be looking at 6 - 7.2volts with either single or twin speed controllers.

I'll send you the manual page at a time this weekend.
