As Polaris started this off with an instrumental, here's the finale my favorite such music.  From 1973.
Ideal background music to working on deck planking.

Mike Oldfield, Genius, he created brilliance and made it better. (saw this quote, thought it summed it up.)

Apparently he was never fully happy with TB 1!! and this is how he wanted it to sound, (Fact or fiction I have no idea ) I can live with both versions.

Dear BobK,

I had forgotten how good this track is/was. You have blown the wind out of my sails, and I am going away to listen and think. WoW, it really was/is very very good!

Regards, Bernard

p.s. While I go away and ask for a Purchase Order number from a Co. who said name your price, so I am in a very good mood since I know - as they do - that whatever I ask will be acceptable... mind you, not often this occurs... but always nice when does.

Regards, Bernard

Dear All,

At the end of the day, the Late Donna Summer creates an ultimate land mark for that era, and a lasting Track that will go on and on.

Donna Summer I feel love was way ahead of its time, could still get away with playing it in clubs now.

On a different note, here's one for all the musicians out there

Dear Knoby,

Whilst a 'passty' I suppose, I can only put this up as one of the best examples of the best Classic example of what you put up. It is a great, and I have had the privialedge of been alongside an Organist at Winchester Cathedral playing just this some time ago on request(and elsewhere when I was very much younger (I still have my RSCM tie - I have sung at Winchester, St Pauls, and various others (1965 - 73), and done a bit with musicals at that time, but all this rather a long time ago!), so, one way and another, I have a wide and varied liking of music, and I can still make my voice heard at Weddings and Funerals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know, when I think about it now, all in all, I have 'done a bit' one way and another, but this bit I had forgotten a touch.

Regards, Bernard

Totally excellent theme for a thread !    Music to build boats by.  Jean Michelle Jarre, Donna Summer, the Shadows  - All awesome classics.

PS: If I really wanted to show my age I'd have gone back to the Fifties  (tee hee !)
