Does Anyone Remember "Malvern Mariner"?

About thirty years ago there was a trader called Malvern Mariner who provided kits of warships from GB and Canada (among others I suspect).  It just dropped from sight at some point and I often wondered what happened as I was at the time considering a purchase.  Just idle curiosity at this point of course.
